In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 10, the behaviour of the self, line 2, the Hermit line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 52, stillness, line 3, the Martyr line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 10 and gate 52.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Jupiter opposition Saturn, 0.2° from exact and closing: the two facing each other, and the pull to choose.

Neptune sextile Pluto, 0.6° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Mercury sextile Jupiter, 1.0° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Mercury trine Saturn, 1.2° from exact and closing: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Mars sextile Neptune, 1.9° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.28 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.

What turns in the next thirty days

21 Dec 2029: Sun enters Capricorn in the tropical zodiac, which is the equinox or the solstice.

22 Dec 2029: Mercury turns retrograde. A Mercury retrograde is read as a fortnight or so of things going back for a second look: messages, plans, paperwork.

04 Jan 2030: new Moon.

11 Jan 2030: Mercury turns direct. The tradition reads a station direct as the body's business resuming.

13 Jan 2030: Mars enters Aquarius in the sidereal zodiac.

14 Jan 2030: Sun enters Capricorn in the sidereal zodiac.

19 Jan 2030: Saturn turns direct. The tradition reads a station direct as the body's business resuming.

19 Jan 2030: full Moon.

20 Jan 2030: Sun enters Aquarius in the tropical zodiac.

20 Jan 2030: Mars enters Pisces in the tropical zodiac.

A sign change or a station is a condition beginning or ending. The tradition reads the condition; it does not read an event into it, and neither does this page.
