Where everything is

Mars is at 13°46′ Libra in the tropical zodiac, 19°29′ Virgo in the sidereal, gate 48 line 5 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Mars retrograde is read as effort turned inward, a season for finishing rather than starting fights. The tradition associates Mars with effort, friction and the willingness to force a thing through.

Jupiter is at 27°18′ Libra in the tropical zodiac, 3°02′ Libra in the sidereal, gate 50 line 1 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Jupiter retrograde is read as growth consolidating rather than spreading. The tradition associates Jupiter with growth, teaching and the widening of things.

Saturn is at 6°14′ Taurus in the tropical zodiac, 11°58′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 27 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates Saturn with structure, limit, work and time.

Uranus is at 10°13′ Gemini in the tropical zodiac, 15°57′ Taurus in the sidereal, gate 16 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates Uranus with the sudden, the unconventional and the break with what was.

Pluto is at 9°06′ Aquarius in the tropical zodiac, 14°50′ Capricorn in the sidereal, gate 19 line 2 in Human Design. The tradition associates Pluto with what is buried, and what is forced up.

Rahu is at 12°38′ Capricorn in the tropical zodiac, 18°23′ Sagittarius in the sidereal, gate 38 line 4 in Human Design. The tradition associates the nodes with appetite and the unfamiliar; Ketu, opposite it, detachment and endings.

In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 55, spirit, line 2, the Hermit line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 27, caring, line 6, the Role Model line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 55 and gate 27.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Mercury sextile Neptune, 0.1° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Moon square Mercury, 0.3° from exact and opening: friction between the two, which is where the work is.

Mercury square Saturn, 1.1° from exact and opening: friction between the two, which is where the work is.

Mars square Rahu, 1.1° from exact and closing: friction between the two, which is where the work is.

Uranus trine Pluto, 1.1° from exact and closing: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Mercury conjunction Pluto, 1.8° from exact and closing: the two acting as one.

Neptune sextile Pluto, 1.9° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.26 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.

A sign change or a station is a condition beginning or ending. The tradition reads the condition; it does not read an event into it, and neither does this page.
