In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 6, friction, line 3, the Martyr line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 40, aloneness, line 2, the Hermit line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 6 and gate 40.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Mars trine Neptune, 0.3° from exact and opening: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Neptune sextile Pluto, 1.2° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Venus sextile Uranus, 1.4° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Mars opposition Pluto, 1.5° from exact and opening: the two facing each other, and the pull to choose.

Jupiter trine Pluto, 1.6° from exact and closing: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.26 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.

What turns in the next thirty days

19 Sep 2028: new Moon.

19 Sep 2028: Uranus turns retrograde. An outer planet is retrograde for months at a time; the tradition reads it as the theme turned inward.

19 Sep 2028: Mercury turns retrograde. A Mercury retrograde is read as a fortnight or so of things going back for a second look: messages, plans, paperwork.

22 Sep 2028: Sun enters Libra in the tropical zodiac, which is the equinox or the solstice.

27 Sep 2028: Venus enters Leo in the sidereal zodiac.

02 Oct 2028: Venus enters Virgo in the tropical zodiac.

03 Oct 2028: full Moon.

11 Oct 2028: Mercury turns direct. The tradition reads a station direct as the body's business resuming.

14 Oct 2028: Mars enters Leo in the sidereal zodiac.

17 Oct 2028: Sun enters Libra in the sidereal zodiac.

A sign change or a station is a condition beginning or ending. The tradition reads the condition; it does not read an event into it, and neither does this page.
