In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 41, contraction, line 2, the Hermit line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 7, the role of the self, line 5, the Heretic line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 41 and gate 7.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Moon opposition Mercury, 0.1° from exact and opening: the two facing each other, and the pull to choose.

Mercury sextile Venus, 0.2° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Moon trine Venus, 0.3° from exact and opening: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Uranus sextile Neptune, 0.3° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Sun sextile Neptune, 1.1° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Sun trine Uranus, 1.4° from exact and opening: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Sun conjunction Pluto, 1.8° from exact and closing: the two acting as one.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.23 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.

What turns in the next thirty days

03 Feb 2027: Venus enters Capricorn in the tropical zodiac.

06 Feb 2027: new Moon.

08 Feb 2027: Uranus turns direct. The tradition reads a station direct as the body's business resuming.

09 Feb 2027: Mercury turns retrograde. A Mercury retrograde is read as a fortnight or so of things going back for a second look: messages, plans, paperwork.

13 Feb 2027: Sun enters Aquarius in the sidereal zodiac.

18 Feb 2027: Mercury enters Aquarius in the tropical zodiac.

19 Feb 2027: Sun enters Pisces in the tropical zodiac.

A sign change or a station is a condition beginning or ending. The tradition reads the condition; it does not read an event into it, and neither does this page.
