What the tradition says
Numerology reads the 11 as the first master number: the 2 raised, the same partnership wiring run at a higher voltage. The tradition associates it with intuition, illumination and nervous intensity, and reads a life path 11 as a brief to make something visible to other people, with the strain that comes with it.
The honest shadow in the same tradition is the 11's nerves: anxiety, an oversensitivity that reads every room as a threat, and an impracticality that leaves the vision unbuilt. The tradition reads an 11 as a 2 when the voltage is too much, and says so.
How the number is reached
Take the year, the month and the day, reduce each to a single figure or to 11, 22 or 33, add the three and reduce again. 5 January 1985 gives 1985, which reduces to 5; 1 reduces to 1; 5 reduces to 5; 5 + 1 + 5 is 11. Some schools add every digit in one line and can reach a different master number for the same date; ours reduces each part first, which is the Pythagorean method the engine uses.
The 11 in a life
In a life the 11 tends to show up as insight that arrives before it can be explained, a strain in ordinary arrangements, and a swing between inspiration and exhaustion that a plain 2 does not have.

That is its strength, since it is never missing, and its limit, since it cannot see anything the other nine systems see. We put it beside them rather than above them. How do I work out my life path?

Is 11 a good life path?
