Mars is at 5°46′ Scorpio in the tropical zodiac, 11°28′ Libra in the sidereal, gate 28 line 5 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Mars retrograde is read as effort turned inward, a season for finishing rather than starting fights. The tradition associates Mars with effort, friction and the willingness to force a thing through.

Jupiter is at 26°05′ Sagittarius in the tropical zodiac, 1°47′ Sagittarius in the sidereal, gate 11 line 4 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Jupiter retrograde is read as growth consolidating rather than spreading. The tradition associates Jupiter with growth, teaching and the widening of things.

Pluto is at 13°36′ Aquarius in the tropical zodiac, 19°18′ Capricorn in the sidereal, gate 13 line 1 in Human Design, and retrograde; an outer planet is retrograde for months at a time; the tradition reads it as the theme turned inward. The tradition associates Pluto with what is buried, and what is forced up.

Rahu is at 28°04′ Scorpio in the tropical zodiac, 3°46′ Scorpio in the sidereal, gate 14 line 4 in Human Design. The tradition associates the nodes with appetite and the unfamiliar; Ketu, opposite it, detachment and endings.

In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 16, skills, line 4, the Opportunist line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 47, realisation, line 5, the Heretic line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 16 and gate 47.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Mercury opposition Rahu, 0.1° from exact and opening: the two facing each other, and the pull to choose.

Neptune sextile Pluto, 1.4° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Saturn trine Pluto, 1.7° from exact and closing: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.30 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.
