Where everything is

The Moon is at last quarter, half lit and shrinking.

Sun is at 25°20′ Aries in the tropical zodiac, 1°02′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 42 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates Sun with authority, health and where one stands on one's own account.

Moon is at 7°54′ Aquarius in the tropical zodiac, 13°37′ Capricorn in the sidereal, gate 19 line 1 in Human Design. The tradition associates Moon with mood, appetite and what is needed rather than wanted.

Mercury is at 8°13′ Aries in the tropical zodiac, 13°56′ Pisces in the sidereal, gate 17 line 5 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Mercury retrograde is read as a fortnight or so of things going back for a second look: messages, plans, paperwork. The tradition associates Mercury with talking, writing, negotiating and the paperwork nobody enjoys.

Venus is at 5°30′ Gemini in the tropical zodiac, 11°13′ Taurus in the sidereal, gate 20 line 6 in Human Design. The tradition associates Venus with relationship, comfort, money and taste.

Mars is at 19°43′ Scorpio in the tropical zodiac, 25°26′ Libra in the sidereal, gate 43 line 1 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Mars retrograde is read as effort turned inward, a season for finishing rather than starting fights. The tradition associates Mars with effort, friction and the willingness to force a thing through.

Jupiter is at 28°59′ Sagittarius in the tropical zodiac, 4°41′ Sagittarius in the sidereal, gate 10 line 1 in Human Design. The tradition associates Jupiter with growth, teaching and the widening of things.

Saturn is at 6°24′ Gemini in the tropical zodiac, 12°07′ Taurus in the sidereal, gate 16 line 1 in Human Design. The tradition associates Saturn with structure, limit, work and time.

Uranus is at 19°52′ Gemini in the tropical zodiac, 25°34′ Taurus in the sidereal, gate 45 line 4 in Human Design. The tradition associates Uranus with the sudden, the unconventional and the break with what was.

Neptune is at 13°31′ Aries in the tropical zodiac, 19°13′ Pisces in the sidereal, gate 21 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates Neptune with what is blurred, longed for and dissolved.

Pluto is at 13°28′ Aquarius in the tropical zodiac, 19°10′ Capricorn in the sidereal, gate 13 line 1 in Human Design. The tradition associates Pluto with what is buried, and what is forced up.

Rahu is at 28°36′ Scorpio in the tropical zodiac, 4°18′ Scorpio in the sidereal, gate 14 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates the nodes with appetite and the unfamiliar; Ketu, opposite it, detachment and endings.

In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 42, growth, line 5, the Heretic line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 19, wanting, line 1, the Investigator line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 42 and gate 19.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Neptune sextile Pluto, 0.1° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Moon sextile Mercury, 0.3° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Venus conjunction Saturn, 0.9° from exact and closing: the two acting as one.

Mercury sextile Saturn, 1.8° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.29 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.

What turns in the next thirty days

15 Apr 2031: Jupiter turns retrograde. A Jupiter retrograde is read as growth consolidating rather than spreading.

18 Apr 2031: Mercury turns direct. The tradition reads a station direct as the body's business resuming.

20 Apr 2031: Sun enters Taurus in the tropical zodiac.

21 Apr 2031: new Moon.

02 May 2031: Venus enters Gemini in the sidereal zodiac.

07 May 2031: full Moon.

07 May 2031: Venus enters Cancer in the tropical zodiac.

10 May 2031: Mercury enters Aries in the sidereal zodiac.

14 May 2031: Mercury enters Taurus in the tropical zodiac.

15 May 2031: Pluto turns retrograde. An outer planet is retrograde for months at a time; the tradition reads it as the theme turned inward.

15 May 2031: Sun enters Taurus in the sidereal zodiac.

A sign change or a station is a condition beginning or ending. The tradition reads the condition; it does not read an event into it, and neither does this page.
