Where everything is

The Moon is new, invisible beside the Sun; the tradition reads it as the quiet start of a lunar month.

Sun is at 23°59′ Taurus in the tropical zodiac, 29°43′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 23 line 6 in Human Design. The tradition associates Sun with authority, health and where one stands on one's own account.

Moon is at 4°22′ Gemini in the tropical zodiac, 10°06′ Taurus in the sidereal, gate 20 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates Moon with mood, appetite and what is needed rather than wanted.

Mercury is at 21°36′ Taurus in the tropical zodiac, 27°20′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 23 line 3 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Mercury retrograde is read as a fortnight or so of things going back for a second look: messages, plans, paperwork. The tradition associates Mercury with talking, writing, negotiating and the paperwork nobody enjoys.

Venus is at 7°20′ Gemini in the tropical zodiac, 13°04′ Taurus in the sidereal, gate 16 line 2 in Human Design. The tradition associates Venus with relationship, comfort, money and taste.

Mars is at 25°23′ Virgo in the tropical zodiac, 1°07′ Virgo in the sidereal, gate 6 line 3 in Human Design. The tradition associates Mars with effort, friction and the willingness to force a thing through.

Jupiter is at 18°52′ Libra in the tropical zodiac, 24°35′ Virgo in the sidereal, gate 57 line 4 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Jupiter retrograde is read as growth consolidating rather than spreading. The tradition associates Jupiter with growth, teaching and the widening of things.

Saturn is at 15°46′ Taurus in the tropical zodiac, 21°30′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 2 line 3 in Human Design. The tradition associates Saturn with structure, limit, work and time.

Uranus is at 13°06′ Gemini in the tropical zodiac, 18°50′ Taurus in the sidereal, gate 35 line 2 in Human Design. The tradition associates Uranus with the sudden, the unconventional and the break with what was.

Neptune is at 10°11′ Aries in the tropical zodiac, 15°55′ Pisces in the sidereal, gate 21 line 1 in Human Design. The tradition associates Neptune with what is blurred, longed for and dissolved.

Pluto is at 10°27′ Aquarius in the tropical zodiac, 16°11′ Capricorn in the sidereal, gate 19 line 4 in Human Design, and retrograde; an outer planet is retrograde for months at a time; the tradition reads it as the theme turned inward. The tradition associates Pluto with what is buried, and what is forced up.

Rahu is at 5°13′ Capricorn in the tropical zodiac, 10°56′ Sagittarius in the sidereal, gate 58 line 2 in Human Design. The tradition associates the nodes with appetite and the unfamiliar; Ketu, opposite it, detachment and endings.

In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 23, assimilation, line 6, the Role Model line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 20, the now, line 5, the Heretic line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 23 and gate 20.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Neptune sextile Pluto, 0.3° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Sun trine Mars, 1.4° from exact and closing: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.27 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.

What turns in the next thirty days

15 May 2029: Sun enters Taurus in the sidereal zodiac.

20 May 2029: Sun enters Gemini in the tropical zodiac.

26 May 2029: Mercury turns direct. The tradition reads a station direct as the body's business resuming.

28 May 2029: full Moon.

28 May 2029: Venus enters Gemini in the sidereal zodiac.

02 Jun 2029: Venus enters Cancer in the tropical zodiac.

05 Jun 2029: Mars enters Libra in the tropical zodiac.

08 Jun 2029: Mercury enters Taurus in the sidereal zodiac.

12 Jun 2029: new Moon.

A sign change or a station is a condition beginning or ending. The tradition reads the condition; it does not read an event into it, and neither does this page.
