Where everything is

The Moon is new, invisible beside the Sun; the tradition reads it as the quiet start of a lunar month.

Sun is at 23°51′ Aries in the tropical zodiac, 29°35′ Pisces in the sidereal, gate 42 line 4 in Human Design. The tradition associates Sun with authority, health and where one stands on one's own account.

Moon is at 19°28′ Aries in the tropical zodiac, 25°11′ Pisces in the sidereal, gate 51 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates Moon with mood, appetite and what is needed rather than wanted.

Mercury is at 11°04′ Taurus in the tropical zodiac, 16°48′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 24 line 4 in Human Design. The tradition associates Mercury with talking, writing, negotiating and the paperwork nobody enjoys.

Venus is at 29°07′ Aries in the tropical zodiac, 4°51′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 3 line 3 in Human Design. The tradition associates Venus with relationship, comfort, money and taste.

Mars is at 28°08′ Virgo in the tropical zodiac, 3°52′ Virgo in the sidereal, gate 6 line 6 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Mars retrograde is read as effort turned inward, a season for finishing rather than starting fights. The tradition associates Mars with effort, friction and the willingness to force a thing through.

Jupiter is at 22°22′ Libra in the tropical zodiac, 28°06′ Virgo in the sidereal, gate 32 line 2 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Jupiter retrograde is read as growth consolidating rather than spreading. The tradition associates Jupiter with growth, teaching and the widening of things.

Saturn is at 11°49′ Taurus in the tropical zodiac, 17°32′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 24 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates Saturn with structure, limit, work and time.

Uranus is at 11°31′ Gemini in the tropical zodiac, 17°15′ Taurus in the sidereal, gate 35 line 1 in Human Design. The tradition associates Uranus with the sudden, the unconventional and the break with what was.

Neptune is at 9°09′ Aries in the tropical zodiac, 14°53′ Pisces in the sidereal, gate 17 line 6 in Human Design. The tradition associates Neptune with what is blurred, longed for and dissolved.

Pluto is at 10°17′ Aquarius in the tropical zodiac, 16°01′ Capricorn in the sidereal, gate 19 line 3 in Human Design. The tradition associates Pluto with what is buried, and what is forced up.

Rahu is at 7°43′ Capricorn in the tropical zodiac, 13°26′ Sagittarius in the sidereal, gate 58 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates the nodes with appetite and the unfamiliar; Ketu, opposite it, detachment and endings.

In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 42, growth, line 4, the Opportunist line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 51, shock, line 5, the Heretic line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 42 and gate 51.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Mercury conjunction Saturn, 0.8° from exact and closing: the two acting as one.

Mercury square Pluto, 0.8° from exact and opening: friction between the two, which is where the work is.

Neptune sextile Pluto, 1.1° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Uranus trine Pluto, 1.2° from exact and opening: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Neptune square Rahu, 1.4° from exact and opening: friction between the two, which is where the work is.

Sun opposition Jupiter, 1.5° from exact and opening: the two facing each other, and the pull to choose.

Saturn square Pluto, 1.5° from exact and opening: friction between the two, which is where the work is.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.27 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.

10 May 2029: Mercury enters Aries in the sidereal zodiac.

11 May 2029: Pluto turns retrograde. An outer planet is retrograde for months at a time; the tradition reads it as the theme turned inward.

A sign change or a station is a condition beginning or ending. The tradition reads the condition; it does not read an event into it, and neither does this page.
