Where everything is

Sun is at 20°21′ Taurus in the tropical zodiac, 26°06′ Aries in the sidereal, gate 23 line 2 in Human Design. The tradition associates Sun with authority, health and where one stands on one's own account.

Jupiter is at 17°34′ Virgo in the tropical zodiac, 23°18′ Leo in the sidereal, gate 47 line 1 in Human Design, and retrograde; a Jupiter retrograde is read as growth consolidating rather than spreading. The tradition associates Jupiter with growth, teaching and the widening of things.

Pluto is at 8°50′ Aquarius in the tropical zodiac, 14°34′ Capricorn in the sidereal, gate 19 line 2 in Human Design, and retrograde; an outer planet is retrograde for months at a time; the tradition reads it as the theme turned inward. The tradition associates Pluto with what is buried, and what is forced up.

Rahu is at 25°14′ Capricorn in the tropical zodiac, 0°59′ Capricorn in the sidereal, gate 61 line 5 in Human Design. The tradition associates the nodes with appetite and the unfamiliar; Ketu, opposite it, detachment and endings.

In Human Design

The Sun is in gate 23, assimilation, line 2, the Hermit line: the gate the whole day is read through, and the line it sits on. The Moon is in gate 5, fixed rhythms, line 1, the Investigator line, and moves on within hours. Each gate has its own page in the library: gate 23 and gate 5.

Times in UTC. A line is a sixth of a gate, a little under a degree; the Moon crosses one every hour or two. Where the Sun's gate is the day's theme, the tradition reads the Moon's as the hour's, and neither is a forecast.

Tight aspects at noon

Uranus trine Pluto, 0.0° from exact and opening: an ease between the two that can go unused.

Moon opposition Mercury, 0.3° from exact and opening: the two facing each other, and the pull to choose.

Mars square Pluto, 0.6° from exact and opening: friction between the two, which is where the work is.

Neptune sextile Pluto, 0.9° from exact and closing: an easy opening between the two.

Uranus sextile Neptune, 0.9° from exact and opening: an easy opening between the two.

Within two degrees of exact, one for the Moon. Closing means the aspect is still tightening; opening means it has passed. The slow pairs stay for weeks and the Moon's pass in hours.

Why the two zodiacs disagree about everything above

Every body sits about 24 degrees earlier in the sidereal zodiac than in the tropical one.

Western astrology anchors its zodiac to the seasons and Vedic astrology to the stars, and the two have drifted 24.25 degrees apart. That is why a Western page and a Vedic one can name different signs for the same planet on the same day, and why neither is wrong. We show both, every time, and where a reading depends on which one was used we say so.

What turns in the next thirty days

11 May 2028: Venus turns retrograde. A Venus retrograde is read as a review of what is valued and who.

14 May 2028: Jupiter turns direct. The tradition reads a station direct as the body's business resuming.

14 May 2028: Sun enters Taurus in the sidereal zodiac.

20 May 2028: Sun enters Gemini in the tropical zodiac.

21 May 2028: Mercury turns retrograde. A Mercury retrograde is read as a fortnight or so of things going back for a second look: messages, plans, paperwork.

24 May 2028: Rahu enters Sagittarius in the sidereal zodiac.

24 May 2028: new Moon.

31 May 2028: Mars enters Taurus in the sidereal zodiac.

07 Jun 2028: full Moon.

08 Jun 2028: Mars enters Gemini in the tropical zodiac.

A sign change or a station is a condition beginning or ending. The tradition reads the condition; it does not read an event into it, and neither does this page.
